Biafra, Nov. 1969Medical clinic in Mabaitoti - Owerri.Due to its abundant natural resources, Africa has been exposed to the exploitation of Europeans for centuries. This exploitation, in fact, is the main reason for its poverty and underdevelopment. Also, the spread of deadly diseases and not to have medical facilities to cure the diseases, the illiteracy among people, bad governance of the states, lack of central planning and infrastructure are the other reasons why Africa is in such a bad situation today. In addition, the constant tribal and military conflicts are major obstacles for development.  Africa is facing a lot of problems because of its poverty. However, it attracts the world’s attention mostly with its malnutrition problem. In Africa, thousands of people, more than half of them are children, die from hunger. As a result of this, many governments, non-governmental organizations and foundations like International Monetary Fund (IMF) or United Nations (UN) take action against hunger problem in Africa. I and most of the people think that it is not just only the problem of Africa, but also it is shame of humanity. Hence, in my opinion, we should help African people as much as we could as a more developed country.
